When the couple came to see the stone in person, Sydney fell in love instantly. The sapphire shifted with incredible blues, greens, and teals. Its Fantasy Star cut gave the stone an almost otherworldly sparkle, with dynamic flashes of light that changed from every angle.

Rather than overcomplicate the design, Sydney wanted the stone to remain the undeniable focal point.

We created a simple yet sculptural east/west bypass setting in 14k yellow gold that wrapped elegantly around the marquise sapphire. To add just a touch of personality and dimension, we incorporated a subtle knife-edge detail into the band — enough flair to feel distinctive without distracting from the main event.

The final piece feels modern, organic, effortlessly striking and simple without being boring.

An Adventure-Ready Proposal

As avid outdoors people, Brady and Sydney spend much of their time exploring the mountains together, so Brady planned a proposal that felt perfectly true to them.

During a snowboarding day in the mountains, surrounded by snow-covered peaks and crisp alpine air, Brady proposed — and Sydney obviously said yes.
