18k Tiny Flying Diamond Stud Earrings

18k Yellow Gold / Diamond (0.12ct) / 13mm x 5mm

The winged Victory motif puts at center stage the most sought-after and sparkling of all precious gemstones: the diamond. The diamond has a strange power to refract light in a powerful, magical way and has long held pride of place in the crowns of emperors, kings, and goddesses. This motif was certainly influenced by Renaissance and Baroque decorative arts, as well as the winged mountings and pavé wing pieces of late Victorian jewelry. It also signifies the freedom and unboundedness of flight, and the crisp, sparkly quality of the dreamworld sky.

These stud earrings were created by Anthony Lent in New York, and available to try on in our Boulder, Colorado Jewelry Store.
