Five graduated marquis diamonds arc across this band in a shimmering floral fan, contouring around our Sagitta knife-edge solitaire. It is low-profile on purpose, so the fan stays close to the finger and does not lift away from the ring it nests against.

You choose the diamonds, natural or lab-grown white, and the metal, 14k or 18k in yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum. The band runs $2,460 to $3,960, and on this one the stones are the lever rather than the metal: natural instead of lab-grown adds $970 to $980, while the whole step from 14k up to 18k or platinum adds $520 to $530. Gold is cast from grain produced from reclaimed scrap, and the diamonds are sourced through Kimberley Process compliant channels.

Because it is shaped to nest, your ring size settles only half of the fit. The fan follows the curve of our knife-edge solitaires. Against an older setting or a ring from another maker, the arc may not meet the shoulders, so send a photo before you order and Heather will tell you whether it works. Resizing takes about 2 weeks, and a resized ring is final sale and cannot be returned, so when there is any doubt, ask for a wax mold before production starts. How is this different from the smooth Sagitta diamond contour band?

Both hold five graduated white diamonds and both are cut to nest against our knife-edge solitaires. This one sets marquis cut stones that open into a floral fan, so the line of diamonds spreads instead of sitting flat. The Sagitta diamond contour band sets its five stones into a 2mm smooth rectangular band and starts lower, at $2,000.

Will the fan contour around my engagement ring?

It is drawn to contour around the Sagitta knife-edge solitaire, and it nests against the diamond and sapphire versions of that ring. On a ring from another collection or another maker, the arc has to meet the shoulders or a gap opens under the fan, so send a photo before you order and Heather will tell you honestly whether it sits right.

How long does the marquis fan take to make?

About 4 to 6 weeks. Five marquis stones are cut and set to your metal and your size, so it is made to order rather than pulled from a shelf. If you have a date to hit, put it in the notes at checkout and tell us when you need it by. A shorter timeline is sometimes possible at no extra cost, and when it is not, rush fees may apply. Can this marquis band be resized?

Yes, and it takes about 2 weeks. Once a ring has been resized it cannot be returned, it is final sale, so the size is worth settling before production rather than after. If you are unsure, ask for a wax mold first, wear it at home for a few days against the ring it will nest with, and tell us the size you land on.

Can it be engraved?

No. The marquis stones fan across the face of the band and there is no clear stretch of metal left to cut an inscription into. If you want words inside a band, the plain Sagitta wedding band is set with no stones and can be engraved.

Why is the natural diamond version so much more?

Five marquis cut natural diamonds carry most of the cost of this band. Natural adds $970 to $980 over lab-grown, while the entire step from 14k up to 18k or platinum is $520 to $530. The lab-grown stones are chemically identical and are cut and set into the same fan, so the choice is about which stone you want, not about the shape of the ring.
