This 1.59 carat pear star fantasy cut sapphire ($4,000) is a pinky-peachy color-change sapphire from Tanzania, cut here in Colorado by Brett Kosnar of Kosnar Gems. It shifts color in different lighting, a trait Bohemi calls a dragon sapphire. It measures 9.09 by 5.44mm.

The star fantasy cut is carved with concave precision faceting, giving even brightness that holds from many angles as your hand moves.
