This is a natural Icy Blue pear-cut sapphire, 3.70 carats and measuring 12.70 by 8.15mm, sourced from Pelmadulla, Sri Lanka. Its cool, icy-blue color and elongated pear silhouette give it a distinctive presence on the hand, and at Mohs 9 sapphire is hard enough for everyday wear. A diamond at 10 is harder, since the Mohs scale is not linear, but a 9 is genuinely everyday-durable, which is why sapphire is the backbone of Bohemi's work.
