Stellaris Montana Sapphire Engagement Ring
Stellaris is Bohemi's celestial ring, and this one is built around a 1.05 carat elongated hexagon Montana sapphire set north to south. That orientation is the whole design. The stone runs the length of the finger instead of across it, and the kite-shaped sapphires on either side lift away from it like something rising.
Round white diamonds fill in between, and the band is 14k yellow gold with a satin finish. Satin rather than high polish, because a celestial ring that flashes reads as costume. Softer metal lets the sapphire do the talking.
Montana sapphires are worth knowing about. They come out of the ground in the United States, they run lighter and more color zoned than sapphires from elsewhere, and Montana is best loved now for its teals. At 9 on the Mohs scale this is a stone built for daily wear, which is not true of every colored stone that looks this good.
