Cornflower Blue Sapphire, 2.25ct Radiant Cut
This is a 2.25ct natural cornflower blue sapphire, cut as a cut-corner rectangle radiant and measuring 9.20 x 5.15mm. Its origin is named right in the listing: Nivithigala, Sri Lanka, a traceable source that Heather and her team looked to when they hand-selected this stone at the Bohemi studio in Boulder, Colorado.
Sapphire is the backbone of Bohemi's work for good reason. At Mohs 9 it is genuinely everyday-durable, plenty of hardness for a ring you actually wear every day. Diamond at 10 is harder, and the Mohs scale is not linear, but a 9 holds up beautifully to daily life. The only treatment ever used on a sapphire is heat, and when a stone has been heated we always disclose it.
Bohemi does not sell loose stones. This sapphire is set into an engagement ring or a custom piece designed with Heather, and the $2,650 price is the starting point for the finished ring. To see where it could go, explore the full range of engagement rings.
