2.01ct Violet & Fuchsia Sapphire, Cushion Cut
This is a natural violet and fuchsia sapphire, a 2.01 carat cushion-cut stone from Tanzania with a saturated purple-to-pink color that shifts as the light moves across it. Sapphire sits at Mohs 9 on the hardness scale, hard enough for everyday wear and the backbone of the work Heather and her team do at Bohemi in Boulder, Colorado. Diamond at 10 is technically harder, since the scale is not linear, but a Mohs 9 sapphire is genuinely an everyday-durable center stone.
Every stone at Bohemi is hand-selected by Heather and her team. The only treatment ever used on sapphire is heat, and it is always disclosed. Bohemi does not sell loose stones, so this sapphire is set into an engagement ring or a custom piece, and the $2500 price is the starting point for the finished ring.
