Mimi came in with a clear vision: a pink pear-shaped sapphire in 14k rose gold framed by a halo of natural white diamonds. We walked through the pros and cons of low-profile vs. high-profile settings and chose a low profile for comfort and daily wear. She prefers a dainty look, so we built a slender, durable shank.

After reviewing a range of stones, Mimi selected a light-pink Madagascar sapphire with a soft, luminous hue. A crisp diamond halo made the center pop, and we added delicate pavé diamonds down the shank for a little extra sparkle.

Following the initial consults, Mimi handed the reins to her fiancé, Andrew, who fine-tuned the details and planned the proposal at Lake Powell. Even knowing the concept, seeing the finished ring was a thrill—Mimi was over the moon. (Spoiler: she said yes.)
