Melaine and Kim were a referral from my dear friends Craig and Efong. Kim is a rock collector, and had a beautiful natural topaz crystal that he and Melaine wanted to have cut and set in an engagement pendant, and then use their heirloom stones from Melaines jewelry. We took the crystal and cut off the host minerals rough, and cut the stone so that it could be easily set with a cap. Since it would be worn close to the chest it was important to smooth down the sharp edges. Melaine gave us a pile of old jewelry in the form of rings, broken chains, and pendants to melt down the gold and use the value as a credit towards her custom. We took out the stones that were valuable or sentimental to Melaine and used eight of them in the 14k yellow gold topaz cap. We flush set the stones around the cap so that as she moves they can be seen from every angle. She purchased a twisting 14k gold chain to pair the pendant with and now she has a beautiful talisman that represents her and Kim's love. Congratulations on your engagement Melaine & Kim!
