Vanessa came to us with a platinum engagement ring that needed the stones taken out and the diamonds reimagined into a new ring. She loved the idea of a wide band, but also wanted it to be comfortable during the summer (when our hands swell) and the winter (when our hands shrink), so we went with a larger front to highlight the gorgeous green hexagon sapphire she chose and a tapered band. Platinum was the preferred metal choice for it's durability, color and safety of the alloys (there's no nickel in platinum so it doesn't cause the common dermatitis allergy that white gold does).
