Boulder Metalsmithing Association for their classes. We are looking to teach someone who wants jewelry design to be their career. A non-compete, non-disclosure must be signed before beginning. Depending on your proficiency there is the possibility for advancement in the future. You don’t need to have experience in jewelry making, but you do need a passion for jewelry and a strong desire to learn the craft. 10 hours a week. Unpaid. Reviews at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months. We are willing to work with students that need an internship for school credit, but you must be enrolled in jewelry as a field of study, or an art major that wants to study jewelry but there isn’t an option at your current school. Internship is in our studio in Niwot, CO. Who: You are VERY detail-oriented. We would say anal retentive. You see imperfections, they bother you, you want them fixed. You can’t complete it until it’s fixed, that’s how much it bothers you. You seek perfection. You can take direction well. You are open minded. You can work well with others. You are an enthusiastic self-starter. You work hard. Oh, and you LOVE jewelry. Interning requires a lot of instruction and oversight on our part.
